For most children, August marks the end of summer and the start of a new school year. Unfortunately, this school year looks eerily similar to last, as the Delta variant continues the disruption first forged by COVID-19 in March 2020.
Even though we don’t know exactly what this school year will bring, at Food Bank of the Rockies we do know one thing: We will be there to serve the kids in our community in every way we can, however we can.
That means sending kids home with Totes of Hope™ at the end of the school week so that they and their families have food over the weekend. It means making and packaging thousands of nutritious meals every day in our commercial kitchen to distribute at mobile pantries and several Boys & Girls Clubs of America sites in Colorado. It means partnering with as many organizations as possible to ensure no child has to worry about where their next meal will come from, ever.
