With 2025 underway, what better way to look ahead to the new year than through the initiatives we’re most excited about at Food Bank of the Rockies? Our teams in Denver, Grand Junction, and Casper are hard at work innovating ways to more effectively and efficiently support the hundreds of thousands of neighbors who count on us when life gets hard. As always, this work is only possible thanks to you, our valued and dedicated supporters. Thank you for supporting our mission of igniting the power of community to nourish our neighbors. Happy New Year! Read More
"I wanted to find meaningful ways to give back and support my community. Food insecurity remains a real issue in Colorado, and volunteering has been a valuable opportunity to make a positive impact. I love working with Food Bank of the Rockies — they are so friendly and flexible with volunteering shifts. It feels great!" - Megan, Denver Distribution Center volunteer
Volunteerism drops off significantly during January, February, and March. At the same time, heating bills, unexpected illnesses, and other difficulties are on the rise. Here are a few reasons to join us during this time and make a significant impact on hunger in our community!
When Elijah Quinones was a teenager, he witnessed many of life’s challenges firsthand. Today, he volunteers with Food Bank of the Rockies to help alleviate the burden of hunger for his neighbors, and shared, “Just being here is a blessing. Being able to have food is a blessing.”
