1 in 7 kids in Colorado experience hunger. At Food Bank of the Rockies, we believe everyone should be able to easily access nourishing, familiar food at every age, and our Food for Kids programs are dedicated specifically to the young and the growing — the future.
As requests for our partnership with schools and community programs in our region grow, so does the volume of kids meals we serve. Last fiscal year, Food Bank of the Rockies provided 300,000 meals for kids over the entire year. Halfway into this fiscal year, we are already on track to double this!
From Totes of Hope™, which provide kids and their families a bag of food when school is out of session, to fresh meals and nutrient-dense snacks, every aspect of Food Bank of the Rockies’ Food for Kids programs aims to bring food directly to children experiencing hunger. No one should ever have to worry about where their next meal will come from, especially kids. Learn more about the how and why behind our programs for children in this video, featuring interviews with Food Bank of the Rockies Executive Chef Jonathan Knight and Food for Kids Manager Kodi Phelps.
As always, thank you for your support. The kids in our community, their families, and all of us at Food Bank of the Rockies are incredibly grateful for your generosity and help in igniting the power of community to nourish our neighbors. Watch Now.
