With the holidays past us and an entire new calendar year stretched out before us, now is an ideal time to share with you a few of the initiatives and programs we’re most excited about for 2023.
This will be our first full year in the new Western Slope Etkin Family Distribution Center in Grand Junction, and our team members can’t wait to start increasing the amount of food distributed through our programs there by 140% in the coming years. Additional areas of expansion across our organization include our Food for Kids programs, Grocery Rescue, more culturally inclusive opportunities for Hunger Relief Partners, increasing the amount of fresh produce provided to Wyoming partners, and much, much more.
We invite you to join us in our excitement for this upcoming year by reading more about what’s on our agenda for 2023 and watching the video below of Food Bank of the Rockies President and CEO Erin Pulling sharing organizational goals. Thank you so much for partnering with us on this journey and helping solve the crisis of hunger in our community.
“It feels great to volunteer. It feels human, like we’re actually part of the community, especially after being isolated during to the pandemic. It’s great to get back and be a part of things.” - Andrew, Mobile Pantry Volunteer
No one should have to choose between paying the bills or buying enough food to nourish themselves and their loved ones. This winter, provide relief and hope to our neighbors experiencing hunger. $1 helps provide enough food for 3 nutrient-rich meals, and removes one more difficult decision from peoples’ lives.
